Ken Wilson, Hon. B. Mus. – President

With an Honors Bachelor of Music from McMaster University, founding owner Ken Wilson aspired to open his own music store, and worked his way from organizing the stockroom and restringing guitars to managing some of the largest music retail and music schools in southern Ontario. After analyzing other music education and retail stores in different cities, Ken decided Guelph, Ontario would be a great place to start! In the fall of 2002, his goal became a reality and The Octave Music Centre Inc. was created. Ken Wilson is also the president & CEO of Stonebridge Guitars International Inc; importer and distributor of fine European hand-crafted Stonebridge/Furch Guitars, SGI Avenir and Bridgeport Guitars. Ken also co-owns Brickhouse Guitars in Kitchener Ontario, offering sales and service of fine acoustic guitars.

Kyle Logue – Operations Manager

Kyle is a professional musician, vocal coach, and performer based out of Centre Wellington. With over 15 years of retail management experience, as well as owning and/or operating small businesses over the past 6 years, Kyle’s position at The Octave Music Centre was the perfect fit. When she’s not working at Octave, she’s helping to organize metal concerts with Inertia Entertainment and helping to manage other indie musicians.

Kyle Brier – Sales Associate

Kyle Briere (Smashkab) is a drummer hailing from Kitchener, Ontario and brings hard hitting energy to his two bands: Voodoo Shakedown & A Dallas Welcome. Kyle has also built an online community as Smashkab with Youtube Drum Cover Videos and Live Drumming on Twitch. He wants to build a career out of music: Teaching, writing, recording, playing live shows in venues, and playing live shows on live streams. He also operates a recording studio out of his home in Kitchener and regularly records tracks for all manner of projects and songs, but most notably the session drumming tracks he does himself. He is always releasing content either with a band or on a solo project.

Felicia Chaves – Sales Associate

Felicia is a singer and multi-instrumentalist from Cambridge. She completed her Bachelor of Music Degree at Wilfrid Laurier University concentrating in Integrated Musical Arts where she completed courses and capstone projects involving songwriting, recording, and performance. Felicia has always had a passion for performing, and you can find her doing just that with her band The Blue Nova playing around Southern Ontario. She is thrilled to be part of the Octave Music team!

Kali Anyx – Studio Administrator

Kali has over 10 years of retail experience, and over 7 years of administrative and management experience. She is a long time lover of music, and sings in her free time. Outside of work, Kali is teaching herself how to play the piano and ukulele. She also loves to act, which she does in film, television, and theatre.
