Construction & Build The body of this bass is mahogany with a bubinga top, providing great resonance and tone. The thru-neck is a maple/walnut multi-ply construction. This adds stiffness and consistency to the playing feel while eliminating potential dead spots on the fretboard. Schecter went the extra mile to make sure this bass was more than just the sum of its parts, and they hit the mark with an instrument that sounds, looks, and feels worthy of the most demanding musicians. Components & Hardware An 18-volt internal pre-amp system works in concert with the lauded EMG 35Hz pickups to channel every bit of rich sound the guitar puts out. With powerful pickups, you also need powerful modulation, and Schecter gives you the on-body controls you need--volume, blend, and even an EMG 3-band EQ--to dial in on the ideal sound for whatever you're playing. Other noteworthy hardware includes Schecter's own precision tuners, a Diamond Custom bridge, and a two-way adjustable truss rod.
